Here’s what the latest numbers say about our market.

For your latest market update, I’ll share some first-quarter statistics from the greater Greenville and Western Upstate MLS.


Greater Greenville:

    -The average sale price is $257,000 which is a 7% increase year over year

    -The average days on market is 61 days

    -The average price negotiation is 2.7% off-price


    Western Upstate:

    -The average sale price is $242,000 which is a 2% increase year over year

    -The average days on market is 101 days

    -The average price negotiation is 2.6% off-price

    Why the huge difference in days on market? The Western Upstate area includes two lakes, and lake properties can skew these numbers a little. Lake properties attract only specific buyers, so they generally take longer to sell. As you can see, the average negotiation price is sticking pretty close to the list price, which is good news for sellers.
