If you’re a buyer, there’s no need to panic about our market’s conditions.

Many people are concerned that there aren’t enough homes on the market, and we’ve helped clients lately who felt overwhelmed or discouraged by the current real estate market. However, if you are buying in the market right now, you do not need to panic. 

If you’re having FOMO (fear of missing out) and it’s causing you to make decisions based entirely on emotion, that is not the way you want to approach a home purchase. Emotion will and should be part of your final decision, but because buying a home one of the largest financial decisions of your life, you need to stay focused on the non-negotiables—these are things you must have in a house. It is always our team’s goal to help you find the perfect property, not just the next available opportunity. Buying a home is a long-term decision; you are not buying a house for a month or a year. Though things occasionally happen to cause homeowners to move more quickly, people usually own their own home for approximately eight years (based on the national average). 

If you’re considering buying a property anytime in 2021, the time to start the process is NOW. Give yourself ample time to research, find out what’s going on in the market, and meet with a member of our team where we will explain the process and ensure you know what needs to happen. We do not want you to end up in a situation where you think you must buy the next home you see, but we also do not want you to think you have tons of time, then lose out on a great house. As we like to say, if you choose to sleep on it, you may never get to sleep in it.
